SPOKANE: Clute was an Associated Press First Team 3A for the state of Washington as a senior and named to the Greater Spokane League First Team ... selected to play in the Washington All-Star Game ... Seattle Times' "Red Chip Player" ... helped Mt. Spokane advance to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs ... for his varsity career he made 22 receptions for 358 yards and seven touchdowns, and as a linebacker made 159 tackles, including 17 for losses ... he is the first "skilled" player to receive a scholarship from Mt. Spokane, a school that opened in 1998 ... played in the East-West Game in July of 2011 ... earned three varsity letters in football and basketball.
