CORVALLIS, Ore. - Fans in the Corvallis region this Friday night will have the opportunity to catch a men's basketball and volleyball doubleheader at Gill Coliseum.

The men play Niagara to open the 2012-13 regular season at 6 p.m. and the volleyball team hosts Arizona at 8:30 p.m., which has been moved to that time from 5 p.m. to accommodate the Pac-12 Networks broadcast of the hoops contest.

The men's basketball home opener against Niagara is part of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project.

Because of the tight time frame between the two events, Gill Coliseum will not be cleared between matches and men's basketball ticket holders are invited to stay for the volleyball match for free.

Volleyball ticket holders, meanwhile, are encouraged to purchase tickets to the men's basketball game via beavertickets.com or over the phone at 1-800-GOBEAVS. Those who do not, however, can enter Gill Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. - one hour in advance of the match as usual. Fans who hold reserved seats for the volleyball match are asked to sit in a general admission area until the conclusion of the men's basketball game, which is expected to be late in the second half at around 7:30 p.m.

The Oregon State volleyball team will honor players from the 1960s and 1970s between sets two and three at Friday night's match as part of the Parade of Champions Title IX celebration. A reception and dinner will be held Saturday night beginning at 5 p.m. to honor former women's student-athletes from all sports at Oregon State. Registration is $40 and can be made via ourbeavernation.com/parade-of-champions.

The OSU volleyball team opens the week Thursday night at 6 p.m. when taking on Arizona State in a match that will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Oregon. Thursday night is Fill Gill and all general admission tickets will cost $1. OSU will also honor the Air Force ROTC between sets two and three that night.
