Oregon State Schedule (html)

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State men’s basketball head coach Craig Robinson announced the Beavers’ 2010-11 schedule on Wednesday, one that includes seven non-conference home games and gets underway officially on Nov. 14.

“We are very excited with this schedule,” Robinson said. “Coming off another trip to the postseason, we are really looking to build off that momentum with some great opponents at Gill Coliseum. Plus, there will be some great non-conference games with quality opponents before we open up league play and go through a tough 18-game Pac-10 schedule.”

All told, the Beavers will play 16 regular-season home games at legendary Gill Coliseum, which will see its 61st season of Division I NCAA Basketball in the upcoming season. The Beavers host Western Oregon in an exhibition game Nov. 9, which leads to the Beavers opening at home for the first time since the 2006-07 season when taking on UT-Arlington in the regular season opener on Nov. 14. That will be followed up with a trip to Seattle University, the Beavers’ first since the 1976-77 season, on Nov. 17.

OSU hosts two other non-conference home games in the first month of play, with Texas Southern visiting Corvallis on Nov. 21 and UNC Charlotte coming west for the program’s first meeting on Nov. 24. Oregon State ends the month by visiting Howard in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 27.

Other non-conference road trips for the Beavers include a Dec. 4 tilt at Colorado in a game that will match up future conference opponents, and Dec. 15 at Montana.

The Beavers play four non-conference home games in December before opening Pacific-10 Conference play Dec. 30 against Arizona State at Gill. OSU takes on Utah Valley (Dec. 1), UT-Pan American (Dec. 12), George Washington (Dec. 18) and Illinois-Chicago (Dec. 22).

After hosting the Sun Devils, OSU opens the new year by welcoming Arizona to Gill on Jan. 2. UCLA (Jan. 13) and USC (Jan. 15) visit two weeks later, then give way to the Civil War on Jan. 22 at Gill Coliseum.

Other home conference weekends for the Beavers include Washington (Feb. 3) and Washington State (Feb. 5) and then Stanford (Feb. 24) and California (Feb. 26).

OSU’s first Pac-10 trip is at Washington State (Jan. 6) and Washington (Jan. 8). That will be followed up with trips to the Bay Area schools (California – Jan. 27 and Stanford – Jan. 29), then to Los Angeles (USC – Feb. 10 and UCLA – Feb. 12). The Beavers play at Oregon in the Civil War Feb. 19, and close out the regular season in Arizona (March 3 at Arizona and March 5 at Arizona State).

Game dates are subject to change. A majority of game times will be announced at a later date as television schedules are announced.
