Men's Hoops Game Time Against Arizona Changed To 5 P.M.
Jan. 3, 2013
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State men's basketball game against No. 3 Arizona on Saturday, Jan. 12 at Gill Coliseum has been changed to 5 p.m. It will be televised nationally on ESPNU. The game was originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. but was able to move up 90 minutes when there was a programming change on ESPNU. It will be the fourth of nine Oregon State games featured on the ESPN family of networks. Arizona is currently 12-0 and ranked No. 3 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls through Dec. 31 games. The Wildcats have home games against Colorado (Jan. 3) and Utah (Jan. 5) and a road contest at Oregon (Jan. 10) before they travel to Corvallis. The Wildcats could be the first top-5 team to visit Gill Coliseum since Jan. 4, 2007 when No. 1 UCLA defeated the Beavers, 71-56. Oregon State's last win over a top-5 team was March 2, 2000 when the Beavers upset No. 3 Arizona, 70-69, in overtime at Gill Coliseum. Arizona didn't play in Corvallis last season due to the new scheduling in the Pac-12. The last time the Wildcats played at Gill Coliseum was Jan. 2, 2011 when the Beavers came away with a 76-75 win in Jared Cunningham's "Kiss the Sky" game.
