OREGON STATE 2004-2005: Nick comes to OSU with a reputation of being a physical player...he will be eligible for game competition Dec. 11 after sitting out the mandatory one full year per NCAA rules after transferring from the University of Iowa...a good shooter and rebounder who will help the team immensely in the paint and on the wing...played for current OSU assistant coach Jeff Reinert at Utah Valley State College, then a two-year school, during the 2001-2002 season...he did not play basketball at Mesa Community College in Arizona during the 2002-2003 year...officially joined the OSU program Jan. 20, 2004.
IOWA 2003-2004: Nick averaged 5.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 15.8 minutes in eight games for the Hawkeyes before he elected to transfer...scored a collegiate career-high 11 points in a Nov. 23 victory over UNC-Asheville...had 10 points and matched his career-high with six rebounds in a Nov. 25 victory over Drake...also had six rebounds in a Dec. 2 win over Wisconsin-Green Bay...averaged 10.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in Iowa's five-game summer tour of Australia in 2003.
UTAH VALLEY STATE 2001-2002: Nick played for then head coach Jeff Reinert...he averaged 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds...he also added 36 three-point field goals, 50 assists, 34 blocked shots and 26 steals.
DOBSON: Nick averaged 17 points and five rebounds in leading the team to the state semifinals his senior year...he was nominated for All-America honors...helped Dobson and head coach Rick McConnell to a 28-3 record his senior year.
PERSONAL: Son of Mike and Mary DeWitz...majoring in liberal studies.
