OSU Ranked No. 5, Hosts San Francisco This Weekend

CORVALLIS, Ore.Oregon State moved up three places to No. 5 in this week’s USA Today/ESPN national baseball coaches poll. The Beavers (17-3 overall) have won six straight games after sweeping Evansville last week to open OSU’s home season.

In the other rankings released Monday, OSU moved up four spots to fifth in the Baseball America magazine rankings, up two spots to fifth in the Collegiate Baseball newspaper poll, and up three spots to fifth in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.

The Beavers play host to San Francisco in a battle of defending conference champions this weekend at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field, with games Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.; OSU won the 2006 Pacific-10 title and USF was the West Coast champ. As of Monday evening, single-game tickets remain for all three games and can be purchased online at , by phone at 1-800-GO BEAVS, and in person at the OSU Athletic Ticket Office in Gill Coliseum Room 107.
