Baseball Announces Home Television Slate
March 3, 2011
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State baseball team announced Thursday that it will have four of its home games televised live in the 2011 regular season. Oregon State is teaming with KEZI 9.2 in Eugene and ROOT SPORTSTM (FSN Northwest will re-launch as ROOT SPORTS in April) to have each of its Saturday Pacific-10 Conference home games broadcast from Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. OSU's games to be broadcast include April 9 vs. Arizona State, April 23 vs. Washington State, May 7 against California and May 21 vs. USC. "This is a great opportunity for us to reach our fans in the Pacific Northwest," Oregon State head coach Pat Casey said. "We know not everyone can make it to Goss Stadium and this will be a great chance for them to catch us live. I'm excited that KEZI and ROOT SPORTS have teamed together again to televise great Pac-10 action." To help accommodate the broadcast, the April 9 game against Arizona State and the May 7 game against California have been moved to 1 p.m. starts. The April 23 and May 21 games will remain 2 p.m. starts. ROOT SPORTS will be blacked out in the Eugene area as each of the games will air live on KEZI 9.2 (over the air on 9.2, 309 on Comcast Cable and on Charter Cable 291). For all other viewers throughout the Northwest, however, the games will be available on ROOT SPORTS. Additionally, the Civil War presented by PacificSource Health Plans, will be broadcast entirely on Comcast SportsNet. The games, May 27-29 in Eugene, will conclude the regular season. Oregon State appeared on television 10 times in 2010, going 5-5. The Beavers are 57-30 in televised games dating back to the 1990 season. Oregon State opens its 2011 home slate Friday when the Beavers host Hartford in the start of a four-game series at Goss Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 5:35 p.m. PT.
