CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State junior closer Tony Bryant was named an ESPN preseason All-American selection on Wednesday.

It is the fifth preseason All-America honor for Bryant, who hails from Kennewick, Wash., and was the Pac-10's leader with 12 saves last season. He's also a member of the watch list for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award and is a first team preseason All-American by Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball Magazine and College Baseball Insider.

Perfect Game USA has him as a second teamer and the NCBWA lists Bryant as a third teamer.

Bryant's earned run average of 1.52 last season was the fifth-lowest mark in a single-season at Oregon State.

He is one of just two relievers on ESPN's All-America squad, which lists 15 players total. He is one of four from the Pac-12 Conference, joining California's Tony Renda and Stanford's Mark Appel and Stephen Piscotty.

Bryant and the Beavers head into Friday's season opener ranked in all five major polls and are as high as 17th by Perfect Game. OSU was selected to finish fifth in league play in a poll of the Pac-12's coaches; all of the top five clubs are ranked in the polls entering the season.

Season tickets for the 2012 season are currently on sale.

Season tickets cost $400 and are good for the entire home schedule during the regular season, which includes 23 home dates and 24 games. OSU non-conference opponents at Goss Stadium this season include NCAA Tournament clubs Oklahoma, Illinois and Connecticut while Pac-12 opponents slated to come to Corvallis are Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Stanford and UCLA.

Individual game tickets will be made available to the public starting Monday. Single-game tickets are $20 for reserved seats and outfield general admission seats are $10.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 1-800-GOBEAVS, in person at the Gill Coliseum ticket office or online at osubeavers.com.

Oregon State opens the 2012 season Feb. 17 when starting a four-game series at UC Santa Barbara.
