Jan. 31, 2013
DURHAM, N.C. - Oregon State sophomore outfielder Michael Conforto has been named a second-team preseason All-American by Baseball America, which announced its three teams on Thursday. Conforto hit .349 last season and drove in 76 runs on the strength of 13 home runs. It's his fourth preseason honor as the Washington native was named a preseason first teamer by Collegiate Baseball, Perfect Game and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). Conforto is one of nine Pac-12 Conference players on the three teams. Baseball America created its preseason All-America teams by polling Major League Baseball scouting directors. Fans also have the option of purchasing a Series Pack, which includes all three games of a series. Those tickets cost $42 for infield reserved seats and $21 for outfield general admission tickets. Group tickets are also available starting Wednesday. A minimum of 12 tickets purchased to a game (excluding games against Oregon) will go for $10 per ticket for infield reserved seats and $5 for outfield seats.
