CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State baseball team earned its third top 25 ranking this week on Friday when the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) put the Beavers at No. 22 nationally. Additionally, junior reliever Tony Bryant has earned his third preseason All-America honor when Perfect Game USA announced its teams.

The Beavers are No. 23 in Baseball America's Top 25, released Tuesday, and 19th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Top 25 Poll, which was released on Thursday. In December, Collegiate Baseball announced the Beavers as its No. 24 team.

Oregon State is one of six Pac-12 Conference teams in the NCBWA rankings, which span the top 35. Stanford is fourth, followed by No. 15 Arizona State, No. 18 Arizona, No. 20 UCLA, and California is 26th.

Florida is No. 1, followed by South Carolina, North Carolina, Stanford and Texas A&M.

Bryant was named to Perfect Game's second-team for its preseason All-America club, a day after writer Kendall Rogers listed him as the nation's No. 4 reliever in his positional rankings.

Bryant, a junior from Kennewick, Wash., led the then-Pac-10 with 12 saves last season and was named as a first-team all-leaguer. He posted an earned run average of 1.52, the fifth-best single-season mark in Oregon State history.

Bryant was previously named to the preseason All-America teams by the NCBWA and Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball.
