Closed out the season with her best time of 22:35.8 (6K) and a 103rd place finish at the Pac-12 Championships (Oct. 27) ... Finished 52nd at the Sundidger Invitational (Sept. 16) with a time of 23:03.74 (6K) ... Finished 124th place at the Bronco Invite (Oct. 14) with a time of 22:47.2 (6K).Â

Joined the team as a freshman ... Ran in three meets, with a best finish of 34th place in the Open race at the Notre Dame Invitational in 18:38 (5k).
NEWPORT HARBOR HIGH SCHOOL
Emily was a three-year letter winner in track and cross country at Newport Harbor, with PRs of 17:48 for three miles and 18:36 for 5,000 meters in cross country and 5:10 for 1600 meters and 11:03 for 3200 meters ... She was the team co-captain, earned a CIF Champion of Character sportsmanship award, and was a three-time Sunset League all-academic selection.Â

Daughter of Robert and Tiffanie Bacon; has a younger sister, Claire ... Hopes to major in Dietetics ... Had a 3.8 GPA at NHHS ... Volunteered with the Environmental Nature Center, the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Bolsa Chica Land Trust ... Chose OSU for the opportunity to compete at the Division I level, for its dietetics program, the "beautiful, green campus," and the coaching staff.
