Beavers to Head North for Portland Tourney

First Road Trip of the Season
• Oregon State hits the road for the first time this season, when the Beavers cruise north to Portland to play in the North Harbour Mariott Invitational hosted at the University of Portland's Chiles Center.
• OSU and Alabama State square off for the first time ever on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
• The Beavers face Fresno State Saturday at noon.
• Oregon State concludes the weekend taking on Portland at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Against the Field
• Oregon State has never faced Alabama State. However, the Beavers are 2-0 all-time against schools from the SWAC, beating Prairie View A&M 3-0 in 2013 and Arkansas-Little Rock 3-2 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2014.
• OSU leads the all-time serices against Fresno State, 10-6. The squared off last in 2014 with the Beavs sweeping the Bulldogs.
• Oregon State holds a 41-8 series lead over Portland. The Pilots knocked off the Beavers in a five-game match last season in OSU's Ultra Ankle Challenge.

• Senior OH Lanesha Reagan, who missed last weekend's action due to injury, is expected to return to action this week.
• Junior S/OH McKenna Hollingsworth and sophomore DS Makenna Browne remain sidelined for the Beavers.
Aces
• Mary-Kate Marshall put away 49 kills last weekend to give her 1,439 in her career to rank fifth in OSU history. She needs 42 kills to tie Jill Sawatzky (2007-10) for fourth.
• Marshall was named to the Pac-12 Conference's preseason first team for the second straight year.
• Marshall has 168 career total blocks and needs 20 to move into the top 30 in OSU history.
• Kayla Ellis ranks 20th in OSU history with 860 career digs. She is likely to become the 14th player in school history to reach the 1,000-dig mark.
• Lanesha Reagan needs 44 kills for 500 in her career.
• During the first weekend of the year, Coach Barnard called on 10 players, five earned their first playing time at OSU - true freshmen Maddie Goings, Grace Massey and Kylee McLaughlin; redshirt freshman Haylie Bennett; and transfer Shekinah Clarke.
• Marshall was named as the MVP of OSU's Beaver State Classic for the second straight year. Bennett joined her on the all-tournament team.
• Kory Cheshire has been OSU's second-most consistent attacker through three matches, contributing exactly 10 kills in each.
