- Oregon State begins the 2017 campaign with the annual Hensor/Zaher Nike Classic at Paul Lorenz Field
- OSU will host Fairfield on Friday, August 25, before UNLV pays a visit on Monday, August 28
- This will be the Beavers' first meeting against the Stags and sixth meeting against the Rebels

- Oregon State is 5-0-0 against UNLV all time, with a 1-0-0 record at home
- The Beavers faced the Rebels last season on Sept. 17 in Las Vegas
- Jaime Miralles and Jesse Garcia found the back of the net exactly one minute apart in the 2-0 win
- UNLV and OSU first squared off in 1994 in Las Vegas, Oregon State took the win at 1-0

- The Beavers ended the 2016 season on a high note with a 1-0 victory against No. 14 Washington on the road

- Oregon State saw the back of the net more often in the second half in 2016, with 18 of 24 goals coming in the 46th minute or later
- OSU recorded two golden goals in 2016, first against Ohio State on Sept. 5 (Tchilao, 101'), second against San Diego State on Nov. 3 (Jones, 98')

- Junior Evan Sungvornrajasabh has the longest non-hyphenated last name of any player in the Pac-12, checking in at 16 letters.

- 10 separate OSU members buried a goal in 2016, while 14 were credited with assists
- Jones led the way with six goals, followed by Mueller with five, Garcia and Tchilao with three, Norman with two, and Miralles, Hassani Dotson, Matt Arbogast, Nathan Braaten and Sam Tweeton all with one
- Norman and Eric Diaz registered the most assists with five apeice, while Miralles added four, Mueller posted three, Jones, Garcia, Zach Striar and Jalen Markey each had two, and Dotson, Arbogast, Braaten, Sungvornrajasabh and Devonte Small all with one
Finding a Balance
- 28 members will fill the roster for the 2017, with 13 upperclassman and 15 underclassman looking to leave an impact
- Five seniors grace the roster, all with extensive playing time: Mueller, Jones, Markey, Tweeton and Miralles
- Eight juniors will add to the depth: Brill, Braaten, Dotson, Vincent, Sungvornrajasabh, Tchilao, Matthias Binder and Davis Chimento
- Five sophomores will get an opportunity to shine as well: Diaz, Strenov, Caleb Michael, Brady Graff and Rodrigo Sarmiento
- 10 freshmen will grace the roster for the season: Gage Rogers, Pablo Gatinois, Kolade Salaudeen, Joel Walker, Keegan Ness, Mitch Hammer, Andre Earthy-Find, Sean Cooper, Caleb Etter and Joe Hafferty
Transfer Market
- Oregon State has had success with transfers over the last few seasons
- Jaime Miralles and Jesse Garcia both played big roles for the Beavers in 2016 as Garcia scored three goals and notched one assist, while Miralles has tallied one goal and four helpers.
- Matthias Binder is a fresh transfer for 2017 as he made 35 appearances for UW-Milwaukee in two years and posted two goals and four assists in over 2,600 minutes

- Oregon State has produced a number of outstanding professional players in recent seasons
- Danny Mwanga was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 MLS Draft, before Khiry Shelton was selected second overall in 2016
