
Beavers Lap Field Academically

Twenty-one Oregon State's women's track and field team members have been selected to the 2017 Pac-12 All-Academic Team, league commissioner Larry Scott announced Friday.
OSU was one of nine schools to have student-athletes on the first team and far and away led the group with seven of the 21 overall top team members. In addition, OSU set a school record for the year with 149 overall Pac-12 Academic selections ranging all intercollegiate sports programs.
The Beavers' first team members include 4.00 graduate student Kayla Fleskes. She is joined by graduate student Morgan Anderson, seniors Monica Anderson, Ally Jackson, Samantha Lewis, and Emily Weber. Sophomore Gilette Field also was an OSU first team member.
The Beavers second team included sophomores Gwyneth McMorris and Juliana Mount. Honorable mention honorees included seniors Kara Hallock, Helen Ann Haun, juniors McKenzie Byrd, Amy Hilger, Kala Kopecek, Amber Peschka, and Kristiane Width and sophomores Kindel Bailey, Vanessa D'Arpino, Saskia McNairy, Kimberly Solberg, and Dakota Steen.
