Oregon State wide receiver Hunter Jarmon has elected to forgo his senior football season and has signed a Major League Baseball contract with the San Diego Padres as an undrafted free agent.

"I want to thank Beaver Nation for the opportunity to represent OSU on and off the field," Jarmon said. "My coaches and teammates have been very supportive of my decision to pursue my baseball career, and I wish them continued success. Go Beavs!"
