Attendance Watch At Home
OSU saw its 10th crowd of 3,000 or more in 2017 with 3,551 in attendance May 7, giving the Beavers a series total of 10,567 against Cal, a three-game series record. OSU is averaging 3,061 per home date in 2017.
Last Game
Cadyn Grenier and Trevor Larnach each homered to send top-ranked Oregon State to a 7-1 win over Portland Tuesday night in Keizer, Ore. Steven Kwan and Michael Gretler both doubled and tripled as seven of OSU's 13 hits on the night went for extra bases.
Final Weekend Of Conference Play
The series with the Cougars marks the last weekend of Pac-12 Conference play for the Beavers, who will take on Abilene Christian for four games next weekend. OSU has already wrapped up the conference crown, its fifth since 2005.
At Stake
Oregon State has already tied the record for most wins by a Pac-10/12 school since the 1999 league unification. That record is officially held by the 2014 Beavers, who went 24-6. The 2017 Beavers can break the record for most wins ever in conference play - 26 by the 1981 ASU Sun Devils. Arizona State was a member of the Pac-10 South that season.
That's A Record
Oregon State has spent 10 consecutive weeks atop the Collegiate Baseball rankings. The Beavers are the first team in the poll's history - which dates to 1959 - to hold the top spot that long.
ERA Keeps Shrinking
The one run allowed to the Pilots on Tuesday pushed the Beavers' season earned run average to 1.90. Oregon State has kept it low thanks to the fact the Beavers have kept opponents to two runs or less 30 times. OSU is 30-0 when that happens.
10 Straight?
OSU's nine-game win streak entering the series is the second-longest active streak in the nation. The Beavers are looking to tally their second double-digit win streak this season; the 2014 club last finished with two, at 11 and 12 games.
