Attendance Watch At Home
OSU saw its 10th crowd of 3,000 or more in 2017 with 3,551 in attendance Sunday, giving the Beavers a series total of 10,567 against Cal, a three-game series record. OSU is averaging 3,061 per home date in 2017.
Last Game
Tyler Malone and Adley Rutschman each drove in two runs and Jake Thompson improved to 10-0 after 6 1/3 innings of work in Oregon State's 10-2 win over Cal on Sunday.
Honors Galore
Starting pitchers Jake Thompson and Luke Heimlich both enter the series coming on the heels of a pair of honors announced Monday. Thompson was the NCBWA's National Pitcher of the Month for April after going 4-0 with a 0.71 ERA. And Heimlich is the reigning Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week after holding Cal scoreless over eight innings Friday, striking out a career-best 12.
Standings
Oregon State heads into Thursday's series opener with a 6 1/2 game over lead over both Stanford and UCLA, which are each tied for second with 13-8 conference records. UCLA is at Washington State starting Friday and Stanford visits Cal beginning on Saturday.
