Beavers to compete at Bay Area meets
March 30, 2017 | Women's Track & Field
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State track & field team heads to the Bay Area this weekend to compete in the San Francisco State Distance Carnival and the Stanford Invitational.
The distance contingent, which did not compete at the Willamette Invitational last Saturday, returns to action at both meets, which run Friday and Saturday. Junior Monica Anderson and redshirt sophomore Nicole Goecke will make their outdoor debuts in the 1,500 meters, as will junior Kala Kopecek in the 800.
The Beavers have turned in 13 all-time top-10 times or marks in the first two weeks of the outdoor season, despite the inclement conditions at all three competitions.
Their next competition in Oregon is the John Knight Twilight Meet at Western Oregon on April 7. Their only home appearance of the year is the April 28-29 OSU High Performance Meet, at the Whyte Track and Field Center.
