
Rori Carlo Named Asst. A.D. for Marketing/Fan Engagement

Corvallis -- Rori Carlo has been appointed assistant athletic director for marketing and fan engagement, OSU Vice President/Director of Athletics Scott Barnes announced Thursday.

She is responsible for the implementation and planning of marketing strategies to drive attendance, promotions and fan engagement of athletic events. Her duties also include sport specific fan experiences, supervision, student spirit group organization and content generation.

"We are excited to welcome Ms. Carlo to Beaver Nation," Barnes said. "Her wealth of experience at major institutions and her background as a student-athlete provides a unique perspective to our overall goal of enhancing our fan experiences."

Carlo's professional experience includes serving the past six years as the assistant director for marketing at the University of Iowa. She has also held positions as a marketing associate at the University of Nebraska and promotions intern at the University of Minnesota.

While at Iowa, Carlo coordinated the marketing and advertising efforts for the Hawkeyes' "The Grapple on the Gridiron" – the first collegiate wrestling dual in a football stadium drawing 42,287 fans. She also spearheaded a marketing initiative for the Iowa baseball program that resulted in seven of the top 10 attended games in the program's history.

She is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators and National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators.

Carlo is a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a bachelor's degree in general studies with an emphasis in marketing. While at UND she was a standout softball student-athlete.
