
Rueck Named Naismith Finalist

Oregon State coach one of four finalists for second-straight year
CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the second-straight year Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck has been selected as a Finalist for the Werner Ladder Naismith Women's National College Coach of the Year award.
Rueck joins UConn's Geno Auriemma, Texas' Karen Aston and Mississippi State's Vic Schaefer as finalists. The final selection process will feature a fan-vote, which will run from March 20-31. Â The winner will be selected on April 1.
Rueck earned John R. Wooden Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors for the second time this season, becoming the fifth coach in conference history to win the award more than once. The seventh-year coach is already second on Oregon State's career wins list with 151, and has led Oregon State to three-consecutive Pac-12 regular season titles.
Oregon State was selected as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and will host the first two rounds of the tournament on Friday and Sunday at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers head to the NCAA Tournament with a 29-4 record. Oregon State won the Pac-12 regular season title for the third-straight season, and went 7-2 vs. ranked opponents during the regular season. OSU is currently ranked No. 8 in both the AP and Coaches' Poll, and currently sits fourth in the RPI.
