Oregon State and Arizona State open Pac-12 Conference play this week. The Beavers and Sun Devils open their series Thursday night at 6 p.m. PT at Phoenix's Municipal Stadium.

Jake Thompson held Ball State to three hits and a run in 7 1/3 innings and Trevor Larnach posted three hits to help send Oregon State to a series sweep of the Cardinals with an 8-4 win at Goss Stadium on Saturday. Thompson tied a career and season high with eight strikeouts, while the three hits for Larnach marked a career-best. Oregon State rapped out 11 hits in the win, with five going for extra bases.
