The duo are finalists for the 2016 National Senior Player of the Year
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State volleyball incoming freshmen Maddie Goings and Kylee McLaughlin have been recognized by prepvolleyball.com as finalists for 2016 National Senior Player of the Year.

To be eligible for the award, which recognizes 97 finalists nationally, a player had to make a "massive" impact on her high school team and their state.

Goings led Aledo High School in the Fort Worth, Texas area to a 39-win season and district title in 2016. She was named the Fort Worth Star Super Team Player of the Year after registering 630 kills, 543 digs, 62 aces and 40 blocks. She was also a First-Team All-State selection.

McLaughlin, also a Texas native in Carrollton, was the named the Gatorade Texas State Player of the Year after leading Hebron High School to a repeat state championship. The setter finished with 1,618 assists, 419 digs, 97 kills and 42 aces en route to being named the Dallas Morning News Player of the Year.
