CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State rowing fans and alumni are invited to come together Saturday, Feb. 25, for the annual Spring Kick-Off Dinner. The event is a fantastic opportunity for OSU Rowing supporters to spend time with the programs' student-athletes. Registration for the 2017 dinner is available here.
OSU Rowing will welcome back Beaver alum Josh Inman, the 2005 USRowing Male Athlete of the Year and 2008 Olympic bronze medalist in the men's 8+, as the featured speaker.
"This is always a fun event," Oregon State men's rowing head coach Gabe Winkler said. "I'm looking forward to hearing Josh's stories from Oregon State all the way to the national team."
The event will be held in the Club Level of Reser Stadium and includes a social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30. The cost of the event is $50 per person.
"It's a really fun time to see all of the alums come back together in one room to reminisce about the old days," Winkler said.
There will also be an open house at the OSU Boathouse from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 25.
The deadline to register for the banquet is Feb. 21. For more details click here.
The men's team gets its season underway Saturday, March 4, against UC Santa Barbara in a race in Las Vegas, Nev., while the women's squad travels to Austin, Texas to race at the Longhorn Invitational on Saturday, March 25.
