CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State's Jack Hathaway was named the Pacific-12 Conference's Wrestler of the Week on Wednesday.
A redshirt junior 141-pounder from Iowa City, Iowa, Hathaway went 2-0 as the Beavers concluded their home schedule with convincing conference victories over Cal Poly and CSU Bakersfield.
Hathaway began the weekend with a 13-4 major decision over Cal Poly's Ty Schilling on Feb. 10, a win that gave the Beavers a 12-0 lead in a match they eventually won 25-10.
He then earned a 7-0 decision over 17th-ranked Russell Rohfling of CSUB on Feb. 12, helping the Beavers post a 32-9 win over the Roadrunners.
Hathaway is 16-9 overall this season and has won four consecutive matches. He has seven pins, more than any other starter. He is a Recreation Resource Management major.
The Beavers conclude the regular season on Friday with a 5 p.m. dual at Oklahoma.  It will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Oklahoma, and by Fox College Sports Pacific.Â
The Pac-12 Championships are Feb. 26 at Stanford. OSU is the five-time defending champion. The NCAA Championships are March 16-18 at St. Louis.
