The Game
Oregon State opens its 2017 season when taking on Duke in Surprise, Ariz. The Beavers and Blue Devils are slated to square off at 12 p.m. PT (1 p.m. in Arizona) Friday at Surprise Stadium.

Oregon State finished with a 35-19 record and 16-14 mark in Pac-12 Conference play, finishing in a tie for third place. The Beavers finished the season by winning five of their last six games, including a three-game sweep of UCLA in which Oregon State posted three consecutive shutouts - a first in program history.
Opening Day
Oregon State is 77-30 all-time in season openers, and is 16-6 under head coach Pat Casey. The Beavers are looking to stretch their winning streak to eight games on opening day.

Oregon State opens the season ranked in the top 10 in all six collegiate baseball polls. The Beavers are as high as No. 5 according to Collegiate Baseball.
Chosen To Win The Pac-12
Oregon State received 97 of a possible 100 points from the Pac-12's coaches and are the preseason favorites to win the conference. The Beavers, who garnered eight first-place votes, finished eight points ahead of Stanford, which received 89 overall. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams.
Three Pac-12 Performers Return
Oregon State leads the way with three returning all-conference performers from 2016. KJ Harrison returns for his junior year after two consecutive first-team selections, while Christian Donahue and Nick Madrigal were also honored by the conference last season. Madrigal was named the Pac-12's Freshman of the Year.

Oregon State enters the 2017 season with 494 wins since 2005, second only to Arizona State's 501 among schools in the Pac-12.
