Oregon State To Honor 2007 National Champions

Now it is time to honor the 2007 champions
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Wallace to Barney to Canham.

It was 10 years ago, but chances are, members of Beaver Nation remember these plays, and more, like they were yesterday. The 2007 national champions, after defeating North Carolina in two games, and winning all five in Omaha, capped off an historic two-year run for the Oregon State baseball team. Those two seasons, coupled with the team's first of three straight trips to Omaha in 2005, vaulted the Beavers into the national baseball scene.
"That team is special because of how that championship came to be," Casey said. "We were fighting to get in the tournament at the end of the regular season. To get to the tournament, and then go to Virginia and play the way we did, it was a pretty amazing feeling I had. I felt, after we beat Virginia the first time, that we were going to win the national championship."
Now it is time to honor the 2007 champions.
Today, we are excited to announce that Oregon State will honor the club's 10th anniversary when the Beavers host Utah in a three-game series, April 7-9, at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
The Beavers will throw back to the 2007 season for that series, wearing the uniform that netted them the national championship. That uniform was gray, complete with pinstripes and "OSU" across the chest.
Video clips and memories from the 2007 season will be played on the new videoboard at Goss Stadium, while fans can expect giveaways during the series. There will also be opportunities for those attending the series to take pictures with the national championship trophy.
Ensure the opportunity to welcome back members of the 2007 national championship team – and all 30 home games for Oregon State in 2017 - by purchasing season tickets at beavertickets.com/baseball. Single-game tickets will also go on sale to the general public Feb. 20 and can be purchased at the same link.
