Scott Barnes Debuts Fan Experience Committee
February 13, 2017 | Football
Oregon State Athletics is proud to announce an exciting new initiative – the Fan Experience Committee. The Committee will serve as a conduit to the athletic staff on recommendations, concerns and overall feedback on the fan experience at Reser Stadium, Gill Coliseum and Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
"I have gained tremendous admiration for the support of Beaver Nation through my time as a Pac-12 administrator," OSU Vice President/Director of Athletics Scott Barnes said. "From my first day on campus I want Beaver Nation to know that listening and acting on their thoughts and ideas to enhance the game day fan experience is a priority. We now have a formal mechanism in place to do this. I'm confident we can make the atmosphere at our venues even better with feedback from fans who represent the Beavers daily."
Volunteer members will comprise the approximately 20-member committee, with individuals serving either one-year or two-year terms with the ability to reapply to serve additional durations. Members of the Committee will have the avenue to contribute ideas, opinions and feedback on a range of issues and topics affecting the fan experience.Â
"The goal is to have a cross section of Beaver Nation represented – donors, season ticket holders, single-game purchasers, students, alumni and community members who will share ideas and different experiences from the time they step on campus to the time they return home," Barnes added.  Â
The search selection begins with fans applying at osubeavers.com -- deadline for application is Feb. 23 OSU Athletics personnel will select the 20 members and communicate on the next steps towards quarterly meetings on campus or in the Portland Metro area in conjunction with athletics competitions.
