
Three Named Preseason All-Americans

All three were recognized as All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball after the 2017 season
TUCSON, Ariz. – Nick Madrigal and Luke Heimlich are first-team Collegiate Baseball preseason All-Americans, and Jake Mulholland has been named honorable mention, the publication released on Monday.

All three earned All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball last season.

Madrigal was named the Pac-12 Conference's Player and Defensive Player of the Year. He batted a team-leading .380, adding 20 doubles, two triples, four home runs and 40 runs batted in. He was successful on 16-of-20 stolen-base attempts and ended the year with a .979 fielding percentage.

Heimlich was named the Pac-12's Pitcher of the Year and led the nation with a 0.76 earned run average, posting an 11-1 record. He struck out 128 in 118 1/3 innings and held opponents to a .172 batting average while issuing only 22 walks.

Mulholland earned Pac-12 honorable mention honors after leading the Beavers with six saves. He tallied a 7-1 record and 1.20 ERA in his first season in Corvallis. Opponents batted just .183 against him, while he struck out 44 to 12 walks in 52 1/3 innings.
