Junior from Colorado earns second career All-District award with perfect 4.00 GPA
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Junior midfielder Nathan Braaten (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) was named to the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District team on Thursday in a release by the organization.
Braaten is one of four members to return from the 2016 Academic All-District team and is the only member with a perfect GPA of 4.00.
In his career, the Thunder Ridge H.S. product has seen action on the pitch in 49 games with nine starts, 1,527 minutes, two goals and a pair of helpers for six total points. Braaten found the back of the net in Oregon State's 2-0 win over No. 17 Pacific on Sept. 22 for his lone goal of the year.
Majoring in finance, Braaten was also named to the 2016 Pac-12 All-Academic first team as a sophomore while establishing himself as a key reserve for the Beavers over the years.
OSU will wrap up the 2017 campaign today, Nov. 9, with the Senior Day match against No. 20 Washington. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. PT and will broadcast live on the Pac-12 Networks.
