FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The Oregon State University swimming program will make the trek north on Friday, December 1, for the 69th Annual Husky Invitational at the Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.
The event will take place over the course of three days with 12 Beavers competing in a total of 45 individual races throughout the invite. Additionally, five relay teams will compete for the Orange and Black as Oregon State looks to build on its second place finish at the conclusion of the 2016 event.
Six other collegiate programs will make the trip to Federal Way to compete alongside several clubs at the invite. OSU will be joined by Nevada, Seattle, San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, Alaska-Fairbanks and Linfield over the weekend.
Sophomore Felicia Anderson (Portland, Ore.) will have the heaviest workload of all Beaver swimmers at the invite as she'll compete in six individual events along with four relays. Junior transfer Arianna Letrari (Bolzano, Italy) will also see plenty of time in the water as she'll compete in three individual events along with four relay events for OSU.
Alongside Anderson and Letrari, 10 other swimmers will see action in the water for Oregon State over the three-day event. Seniors Emma Osowski (Valencia, Calif.) and Noemie Midrez (Verviers, Liège, Belgium) will spearhead the veterans in the pool for the Orange and Black in a total of six individual races.
Junior Megan Lam (Portland, Ore.) will compete in five individual events, while sophomore Merritt Allen (Bend, Ore.) will compete in four of her own.
The freshmen taking part in the invite include Fernanda Rodriguez (Portland, Ore.), Madelyn Rainey (Bellevue, Wash.), Riley Neal (Hillsboro, Ore.), Callan Jackman (Dublin, Calif.), Isabelle Bishop (Davis, Calif.) and Amina Bachir (Las Vegas, Nev.). The six freshmen will compete in a total of 21 individual races for the Beavers throughout the weekend.
