ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Redshirt junior 197-pounder Corey Griego took home first place in the weight class leading the Oregon State Wrestling team at the Naval Academy on Saturday.

Griego won a decision 5-3 over American's Kasunic to win the title at 197-pounds. Griego only surrendered seven points through five matches, and won by major decision in his first three bouts.

Redshirt senior Cody Crawford dropped his quarterfinal match, but worked his way back through the consolation bracket to take home fifth place. Crawford went 5-1 on the day and won by decision 3-0 over George Mason's Voss.

Redshirt sophomore Seth McLeod recorded his first collegiate varsity pin in the fifth place match. McLeod earned the fall in 1:43 over Brown University's Pedro. He dropped his first match of the day in a 5-2 decision to Jakob Hinz of Indiana University, the two would meet again in the consolation bracket where McLeod got the better of the two with a 20-2 technical fall.

Oregon State finished in 11th place overall as a team with 56.5 points. The United States Naval Academy won the event with 112.5 points.
