Beavers Ready for Dual at Seattle

Oregon State faces Seattle on Saturday in the Emerald City
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University swimming program continues its fall schedule for the 2017-18 campaign with a dual meet up north against Seattle University on Saturday, November 10. First event for the meet is scheduled for 4 p.m. PT at the Connolly Complex.
The Beavers will look to rebound from two dual losses the previous week to Stanford and Cal. OSU fell 170-77 to the Cardinal before taking a 164-85 loss to the Bears.
Sophomore Felicia Anderson (Portland, Ore.) turned in top times at both events, placing first in the 100 back in the dual at Cal with the eighth-fastest time in school history at 56.17 while leading wire-to-wire. Anderson also ended second in the 200 back against the Cardinal the day before with a time of 2:02.47.
Senior captain Noemie Midrez (Verviers, Liège, Belgium) set three season-best times in the dual at Cal, starting her run in the 200 free at 1:56.92 to finish fifth. She posted a time of 54.01 in the 100 free for a second place finish and added a fifth-place finish in the 50 free with a time of 25.38.
Junior Arianna Letrari (Bolzano, Italy) turned in a good weekend as well, posting a season-best time of 52.81 on her leg of the 400 free relay in the dual at Stanford and ending with a season-best 56.89 in the 100 fly at Cal for a second-place podium finish.
The Beavers last met up with the Redhawks in 2013, also at the Connolly Complex in Seattle. OSU took the dual at 174-88 after Sammy Harrison, then a sophomore, set a new pool record in the 500 free at the dual with a time of 4:53.32 for the top spot. Harrison also took first in the 200 free at 1:50.53 and ended the 100 free in second with a time of 53.27.
