SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Pac-12 Networks will provide live coverage of the 2017 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships hosted by the University of Oregon on Friday, Oct. 27, as announced by Pac-12 Networks today (Wednesday).
Â
This will be a historic event as this is the first ever live broadcast for the cross country championship in the Pac-12 conference. The Women's Championship Race leads off at 11 a.m., followed by the Men's Championship Race at 12 p.m., both times are local.
Â
This year's championship event will take place at Springfield Golf Club in Springfield, Ore., with both races airing live nationally on Pac-12 Network as well as across all six Pac-12 regional channels. The events will also be available to stream live for authenticated subscribers via the Pac-12 Now app and Pac-12.com
Â
On the call for Pac-12 Networks coverage of the 2017 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships will be Jim Watson, Dwight Stones and Lewis Johnson.
Â
Oregon State cross country is no stranger to the Springfield Golf Course. Last week the Beavers took sixth place at the Dellinger Invitational, a star-studded event that saw nine out of ten teams ranked regionally by the USTFCCCA.
Â
OSU moved up to 10th in the west region poll released on Monday, Oct. 2, following an impressive performance at the Dellinger Invite. The Beavers started the season ranked 12th in the west and were there for four weeks before this week's release. This is the highest ranking in the USTFCCCA Regional Poll since being ranked seventh during the 2013 season.
