Beavers Set to Return Home for Pair of Pac-12 Clashes

Thursday's matchup with Washington will be Oregon State's Dam Cancer Game
THE GAME: Oregon State returns home this week for the first time since Sept. 11, when the Beavers head to Lorenz Field for a pair of matchup with Pac-12 foes. OSU will take on No. RV/25 Washington on Thursday, before facing Washington State on Sunday.
DAM CANCER: Thursday's game will be the Beavers' annual Dam Cancer game, as Oregon State partners with Corvallis Clinic's Project H.E.R. to raise cancer awareness.

WHAT'S COMING UP: Oregon State will remain at home next week, when it takes on Arizona on Oct. 13.
HISTORY WITH THE HUSKIES: Oregon State defeated Washington last season in Seattle, taking a 1-0 win behind a free-kick goal from Emma Bergstrom. Washington holds a 9-16-3 series lead overall.
HISTORY WITH THE COUGARS: Oregon State is 12-14-3 all-time vs. Washington State, including a 5-7-1 mark in Corvallis. The Beavers last defeated the Cougars in 2013, when OSU took a 1-0 win.Â

- Midfielder Kayla Latham started all 20 games for the Beavers last season, recording 12 shots with 8 on goal.Â
- Forward Natalie Higgins scored four goals last season, including a game winner against Boise State.
The Staff:
- Head Coach Linus Rhode is in his 10th season at the helm of the Oregon State womens soccer team, and is looking to lead the Beavers to their fourth NCAA tournament apperance under his watch.
- Prior to becoming head coach Rhode was an assistant and assosciate coach for the Beavers for eight seasons.
- The program brings on a new assistant coach this season, Vanessa Valentine. Valentine was formerly the head coach at Cal Poly.Â
- The Beavers also promoted longtime assistant Michelle Voiland to the position of associate head coach this season.

- Jodie Taylor won the Golden Boot at this summer's European Championships, leading the tournament with five goals.

- Rachel Axon currently plays for Kolbotn Fotball in the Norwegian league.
- Greta Espinoza signed for Spanish club Levante this summer.
