
Madrigal, Harrison Earn Preseason Honors

The duo were both named Pac-12 First-Team selections in 2016
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Nick Madrigal and KJ Harrison have been named preseason All-Americans by Perfect Game, which released its three teams on Monday.
Madrigal was named a first-team selection, while Harrison was honored as a third-teamer.
The selection is the first of the preseason for Madrigal, who was a Freshman All-American in 2016. The sophomore batted .333 with 11 doubles, five triples, one home run and 29 runs batted in last season. He also stole eight bases en route to being named the Pac-12 Conference's Freshman of the Year.
Harrison was named to his second preseason All-America team on Monday after Collegiate Baseball placed him on its third team in December. He batted .265 in 2016, collecting 14 doubles, four triples, 10 home runs and 47 runs batted in. A junior in 2017, the business major was named to the Pac-12's First Team after the 2016 season, his second career honor.
Oregon State opens the 2017 season Feb. 17 in Surprise, Ariz., when taking on Duke to open the Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic.
