RENO, Nev. – Redshirt junior heavyweight Cody Crawford and junior Ronnie Bresser each won titles on Sunday at the Reno Tournament of Champions.

Crawford edged teammate David Henry 3-2 in sudden victory in the final to finish at 4-0. He allowed only two points in the entire tournament and stretched his winning streak to five matches in a row.

Bresser competed unattached and took a 10-2 major decision over Oklahoma State's Eli Hale to earn his championship. He had two major decisions, a technical fall and a pin while winning five consecutive matches.

The Beavers placed fifth with 68 points. Neither Bresser nor Henry counted toward the team total; Bresser competed unattached and OSU designated Crawford as its scoring competitor in that weight class.

Senior 141-pounder Joey Palmer won seven consecutive matches in the consolation bracket before losing in the third-place bout. He was 8-2 in the tournament, with three major decisions and two pins.

Junior Corey Griego went 6-2 at 197 pounds and defeated Cody Johnson of CSU Pueblo 4-0 in the fifth-place match. Included in his wins were a pin and a technical fall.

The Beavers conclude the calendar year Dec. 29-30 at the Ken Kraft Midlands Tournament at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
