Overall, the Beavers have seven players honored, the most in the Pac-12
SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon State redshirt sophomores Kory Cheshire and Lanesha Reagan have been named to the Pac-12 Conference's All-Academic Second Team as the league continued its announcement of postseason honors on Thursday.
Â
Additionally, Katelyn Driscoll, Kayla Ellis, McKenna Hollingsworth, Mary-Kate Marshall and Lila Toner all recevived honorable mention recognition.
Â
The seven overall selections are the most by one school. The Beavers, also, have had at least five selections in each of the last 11 seasons, and seven or more in the last three.
Â
Cheshire and Reagan were both named Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention a year ago. Cheshire is a double major in psychology and sociology, while Reagan is majoring in English.
Â
Driscoll (speech communication) and Toner (psychology) each picked up their third career academic honors, while Hollingsworth (marketing) and Marshall (kinesiology) were both honored for a second time. Ellis (kinesiology) was recognized in her first year of eligibility for postseason academic honors – student-athletes may not be in their first year of competition to be eligible.
