Junior scored three times over the weekend
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State forward Jordan Jones has been named Pac-12 Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The junior scored three goals last week, as the Beavers rounded out their home schedule. Jones started his week off by scoring a pair of goal in Oregon State's 3-2 win over No. 21 San Diego State on Thursday. The Pacific Grove, Calif. native's acrobatic overtime game-winner was one of the best goals in college soccer this season, and checked in at No. 7 on SportsCenter's Top-10 Plays.
Jones followed that up by scoring another goal against UCLA on Sunday.
On his career, Jones now leads all Oregon State players with 51 points on 23 goals and five assists.
The Beavers will be back in action Thursday evening, when they wrap up their season with a road match against No. 14 Washington. That match will begin at 6 p.m. and will air on Pac-12 Oregon and Pac-12 Washington.
