Lila Toner hit .389 in getting her 11 kills on Thursday
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Lila Toner and Mary-Kate Marshall each had 11 kills to pace the Oregon State volleyball team in a three-set loss to No. 19 Utah Thursday night at Gill Coliseum.

Set scores were 22-25, 23-25 and 22-25.

Toner hit an impressive .389 on the night, notching her 11 kills on 18 attempts. The senior also recorded two digs and a block against the Utes.
Â
Marshall, meanwhile, finished with her eighth straight match with at least 10 kills, and 21st of the year. The junior attempted 30 attacks for a .267 percentage. She also had eight digs.

Lanesha Reagan went for nine kills and seven digs, while Kory Cheshire finished with four kills and three blocks.

Oregon State (10-16 overall, 3-12 Pac-12 Conference) hit .272 compared to a .313 mark for the Utes (19-8, 10-6). The teams tied in both blocks (8.0) and digs (36), but Utah held the advantage in service aces with eight to the Beavers' three.

Katelyn Driscoll led Oregon State with five blocks, while Maddy Gravley, making her first start of the season, and second of her career, was close behind with four.

Kayla Ellis led Oregon State with nine digs.

The match saw the lead change hands eight times, and 19 tie scores. Set two was the most volatile, with four lead changes occurring. Oregon State hit .250 during the frame, compared to .182 for Utah.
