A handful of NFL scouts converged on the OSU campus Friday morning for the Beavers' annual Pro Timing Day. This year, it was a small class of Beavers working out for the scouts, including NFL combine participants quarterback Sean Canfield and linebacker Keaton Kristick. Current Beaver and Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Victor Butler also made it back to town to watch the event.[+]
Julie Futch finished in double figures for the third consecutive game, and Haiden Palmer the 10th time in 11 games, but the Oregon State women's basketball team lost in the quarterfinals of the Pacific-10 Conference Tournament, 60-44, to No. 2 seed UCLA Friday night at the Galen Center.[+]
The No. 8 Oregon State gymnastics team (12-3), facing a nationally ranked field, finished second at No. 9 Utah's four-team meet Friday night. Makayla Stambaugh led the Beavers with an all-around score of 39.375 and Becky Colvin tied her career-high of 9.925 on the vault to tie for the event title.[+]
The Oregon State men's soccer head coach Steve Simmons is proud to announce that the Beavers have signed seven student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to join the team for the 2010 season.[+]
