Melody Stockwell is in her fifth year as Assistant Athletic Communications Director at Oregon State serving as the primary volleyball and women's basketball contact. She was the wrestling and softball contact for the past three seasons. Stockwell has also served as a feature reporter for "Beavers All Access," a weekly magazine show featured on ROOT SPORTS that highlights Oregon State Athletics. A 2006 graduate of Oregon State, she has a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies (Print Journalism) and Speech Communication. While an undergraduate, Stockwell assisted the Athletic Communications office for two years with her primary responsibility being women's cross country and track. Prior to her return to Oregon State, Stockwell was an Assistant Media Relations Director at Middle Tennessee for a short stint as the volleyball, baseball and men's and women's tennis contact. She started her career during the 2006-07 academic year as the Media Relations Assistant at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with her primary sports being volleyball and softball and assisting with the 2006 NCAA Football National Championship game. Stockwell is from Hillsboro, Ore., and is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She was recognized for outstanding publication design three times by CoSIDA for the 2007-08 and 2008-09 Oregon State wrestling media guides, earning third place each year and finishing fourth for the Oregon State volleyball media guide in 2009. |
