Kathy Brier has been with Oregon State University's Athletic Department since April 2006. She took on the role of Director of Event Operations/Guest Services in 2011. Brier's main role with the department is the supervision and management of all guest services staff for home games including football, men's and women's basketball, baseball, gymnastics, wrestling, men's and women's soccer, and softball. Another main responsibility for Brier is the event management operations for women's basketball, softball, women's soccer and men's soccer. Brier has been the Event Director for several postseason events including the 2007 Pac-10 Cross Country Championships, the 2007 NCAA Softball Regionals and Super Regionals, the 2011 Women's Soccer NCAA Championships, the 2011 and 2012 WNIT Women's Basketball Tournament, and the 2012 Pac-12 Men's Golf Championships. She has also served as an NCAA Site Representative for women's soccer. Prior to working for OSU Athletics, Brier earned her bachelor's degree in business management with a minor in marketing from California Lutheran University and her master's in sports management from the University of San Francisco. She worked in the corporate world for Anderson Bat Company as the Sales/Marketing Manager and Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts as the Corporate Sales Manager. Brier has also volunteered for the Long Beach Triathlon, ASA Events, Michael Epstein's Sports Production and the Pacific Sun's Baseball team. She is married to Joe Brier who is a firefighter/paramedic for the city of Albany. |
