Help SAAC Adopt A Platoon

Corvallis, Ore. – The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the student-athletes of Oregon State will be collecting items to send to a platoon of troops deployed in Iraq to make the upcoming winter season a bit more tolerable.

During every athletic event held in Gill Coliseum beginning Friday, Nov. 21, through Friday, Nov. 28, and the Civil War football game there will be collection bins with the American flag on the outside to gather your donations for this very worthy cause.

We are not able to accept cash donations and are limiting the items to be collected to black socks, gloves, stocking caps, chapstick, enveloped hot chocolate mixes and Jolly Rancher hard candies.

Please join us in supporting our troops by adding your donations to this great cause no later than the Civil War Football Game on Nov. 29, 2008.

If you have specific questions, please contact Linda Johnson at 737-6804.
