Former Arizona State throwing standout Ginger Jarchow was named the new Director of Operations for the Oregon State cross country and track & field programs in Oct. 3, 2016.
A native of Peoria, Ariz., she threw the hammer, javelin and discus for the Sun Devils under new OSU throwing coach David Dumble. She was the team captain as a senior and ranks ninth all-time at ASU in the hammer with a PR of 192 feet.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from ASU with a Bachelor’s of Science in sociology, a minor in Business, and a certificate in Leadership and Ethics. She was a Sun Devil Scholar athlete from 2012-16, twice earned Pacific-12 Conference honorable-mention all-academic honors, and was awarded a Regents High Honors scholarship.
Jarchow graduated from Centennial High School in 2012 and lettered in volleyball, basketball and track and field. She captained the track team her junior and senior seasons.
She enjoys hiking, biking, and reading self-help books.Â
