Jake Rodriguez is in his second season as Oregon State’s director of operations. He is in his ninth year overall with the program.
Rodriguez played three seasons for Oregon State, spent two years as an undergraduate assistant coach and was the assistant coordinator of camps for two seasons before taking over as the program’s director of operations in 2019.
Rodriguez played three seasons for OSU, from 2011-13, helping the club to three consecutive postseason appearances, two Super Regional berths and a trip to the 2013 College World Series. The native of Elk Grove, Calif., played in 145 games for Oregon State, batting .281 with 24 doubles, one triple, five home runs and 70 RBI.
Rodriguez was a 19th-round MLB Draft selection by Houston in 2013. He played for three teams over two years in the Astros’ organization, appearing in 83 games before retiring after the 2014 season.
He came back to Oregon State as an undergraduate assistant coach for the 2015 and 2016 seasons, then as the team’s assistant coordinator of camps in 2017 and 2018.
Rodriguez and his wife, Ashley, have one son, Tony.
