TUALATIN, Ore. – The Oregon State men’s golf team raised more than $50,000 at its 42nd Annual All American Hearing Oregon State Golf Scramble last weekend, which completes the fundraising campaign for the Bud and Maxine Ossey Golf Center.
The golf tournament was held at the Tualatin Country Club and featured a golf scramble, auction, silent auction and gourmet dinner. All American Hearing was the title sponsor for the event, while Reser’s Fine Foods was the cart sponsor, Pioneer Pump provided the lunch, Les Schwab Tires was the driving range sponsor and Moda Health was the putting green/contest sponsor.
“We brought in approximately $50,000 for the team that will go to help provide our student-athletes with an enhanced experience and guarantee our continued growth to compete at the highest level in the Pac-12 and nationally,” Oregon State men’s golf head coach Jon Reehoorn said. “This tournament also provided us with the funding to construct the Bud and Maxine Ossey Golf Center located in Gill Coliseum. I really want to thank Bud Ossey and all of our sponsors for the support to make this facility a reality.”
The Ossey Golf Center will create a state-of-the-art indoor training center where OSU’s golf teams are able to practice regardless of weather and light conditions that otherwise prohibit preparation for tournament play. In addition, there will be a team lounge where student-athletes can meet, study and build team camaraderie.
