Sixteen Rowers Earn Pac-12 All-Academic Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Sixteen Oregon State women's rowers earned recognition for their efforts in the classroom when Commissioner Larry Scott announced the Pac-12 Conference’s All-Academic teams on Monday.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor and have attended their institution for a year or more.

Seniors Ashley Molholm (3.81 grade point average, Management) and Anna Taylor (3.30, Exercise and Sport Science); juniors Katie Low (3.98, Zoology) and Julie Stark (3.69, Public Health); and sophomore Laura McNeill (3.87, Exercise and Sport Science) brought home first team all-academic honors. Molholm, Low, Stark and McNeil all made their second consecutive appearance on the first team.

In addition, seniors Lin Hill (3.57, Exercise and Sport Science), Ellen Pesek (3.51, Natural Resources) and Tina Vernazza (3.45, Nutrition); and sophomores Samantha Anderlie (3.72, Pre-Business) and Chen Oshri (3.67, Biology) earned second-team all-academic. Hill, Pesek and Vernazza each garnered their third consecutive second-team honor.

Honorable mention selections were senior Nicole Hook; juniors Saasha Bruce, Hailey Page and Emily Wright; and sophomores Simone Oberholzer and Dana Parker
