Walnut Creek, Calif. – Oregon State senior Ross Ellingwood was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference First Team, as announced by the conference Thursday.

Ellingwood has been a starter in the Varsity 8 all season, as well as most of his junior year. He is one of just 13 to be awarded first team honors and is the lone Beaver to be recognized.

As a veteran in the 6-seat, Ellingwood has contributed to much of Oregon State’s success this year, including a win over then-No. 12 Wisconsin, a team third-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships, and an At-Large selection to the IRA National Championships.

This is Ellingwood’s first All-Conference selection, added to his Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team honors in 2013. He is joined by fellow top-notch rowers from Washington, California, Washington State, and Colorado.
