Last Game
Dylan Davis homered and drove in four runs to send the Beavers to an 8-1 win over Sacramento State Tuesday afternoon. Davis also pitched 4 1/3 innings in a start, striking out three. Zack Reser improved to 4-0 on the year.

Back And Forth
For the most part, the series between Oregon State and Oregon since the Ducks reinstated their program in 2009 has belonged to the home team. The Beavers are 9-2 at Goss Stadium over that stretch, and are 4-6 at PK Park. OSU also holds a 2-1 advantage in neutral-site games.

Career Vs. UO, Notably
Michael Conforto owns a .324 (11-for-34) average in nine career games against the Ducks, collecting two doubles, two home runs and nine runs batted in. Andy Peterson, meanwhile, is 7-for-19 (.368) with one double and two RBI. Lastly, reliever Scott Schultz has pitched in eight games against UO and is 0-0 with a 0.90 ERA, striking out 11 in 20 innings.

Going For 31
Ben Wetzler, Friday night’s probable starter, will be looking to make OSU history as he’s going for his 31st all-time win. He and Ken Noble (1975-78) are currently tied at 30. Wetzler has an .811 winning percentage (30-7) during his career, which stands at No. 4 in OSU history.

In The Standings
The Beavers were idle last weekend, from Pac-12 Conference play, but lost just half a game from league leader Washington as the Huskies went 2-1 at California. OSU is a game up on Oregon. OSU will even up its number of league games with Washington May 8-10 when the Beavers host UCLA and the Huskies play Bethune-Cookman in a non-conference series.

Singles
• Oregon State is 22-0 this season when out-hitting its opponents. The Beavers have done so 10 times at home.
Jeff Hendrix enters the series on a four-game hit streak (5-for-18) and has five RBI during it.
Logan Ice also has a five-game hit streak (6-for-17) and has six walks during it.
Michael Conforto reached base in seven of 10 plate appearances versus Sacramento State. Had had four hits - all Monday - and walked three times.
