Last Game
Gabe Clark tallied two hits and Caleb Hamilton drove in a run in the second inning but that was all the offensive OSU could muster in a 4-1 loss to Washington State Friday night. Ben Wetzler started and was saddled with his first loss after allowing six hits and four runs in 5 1/3 innings of work. Clark singled in the second and ninth innings, scoring after the first one when Hamilton singled up the middle.

Back And Forth With WSU
The Beavers have won seven of their last 10 games against the Cougars, and have taken the last three series. WSU, however, had won eight of the 12 previous games after OSU produced series sweeps in 2005 and 2006.

Moore Away From Home
Andrew Moore is 1-1 with a 6.75 earned run average in true road games this season but has a 6-1 mark and 2.11 ERA in such games all times. In all games away from Goss Stadium, including neutral sites, he is 7-3 in 85 1/3 innings.

Oregon State walked a season-high 10 in the loss on Friday. It was the seventh time this season OSU issued five or more free passes in a game. The Beavers are 3-4 when that happens.

Jackson & Reser
Brandon Jackson tossed 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief on Friday, and has not allowed a run in six innings this season. He and Zack Reser have combined for 20 innings of scoreless relief this season, have struck out 10 with four walks and 13 hits allowed.

• Oregon State hit six home runs and batted .346 in the last three-game series played in Pullman, in 2012. Michael Conforto hit two home runs and drove in six over the three games.
• OSU plays its next four games on the road, visiting Sacramento State for two a week after the Beavers play WSU.
• OSU is batting .323 in away games this season. Opponents, meanwhile, are batting .229.
• The Beavers dropped to 21-2 when Ben Wetzler starts since 2013 after Friday’s 4-1 loss.
• OSU is 3-5 when scoring two runs or less this season. The Beavers are 18-0 when holding an opponent to two runs or less.
• The Beavers have a quality start in 24-of-32 (75 percent) of games in 2014. Opponents have just seven (21.8 percent).
• OSU is 12-4 away from home.
